About Pieter-Jan LOUIS

Pieter-Jan LOUIS (1974) is a French photographer

He discovers photography during his secondary education level in the Netherlands.

Back in France he studies economy. At the same time he buys his first argentic camera and follows an evening class of photography.

From 1998 he begins his photographer's career.

To improve in journalism he follows the cursus of the EMI-CFD in 2005, formation is dispensed by Mat Jacob of Tendance Floue and Wilfrid Estève from l'Oeil Public. It finishes in 2006 by the project "Territories of Fictions" which will be spread through all Europe.

In 2009, he joins the collective of photographers Babel and teaches the photography at the University of the Technologies of Compiègne.

He works with Le Nouvel Observateur, Le Figaro, Ouest France, VSD, La Croix, Marie Claire...

He is represented by the collective Babel and distributed via Pix Palace
